Dance Your Ass Off – My favorite reality competition series
Watching dance shows and reality TV weight-loss competitions has always been my passion. ‘Dance Your Ass Off’, a reality competition series, on Oxygen channel is my favorite! I guess it is not just my favorite but everyone’s favorite. The show is like a hot cake, isn’t it?
In this competition, teams of overweight contestants attempt to trim the extra pounds by dancing! There are 12 overweight people competing in a weekly dance competition while also competing to lose weight. Each and every episode ends with a weigh-in and dance-off. Oxygen told a press release that, each week, teams will get a brand new dance challenge that will help them to sweat off those extra pounds. Moreover, the show will also help the contestants to learn how to integrate healthy cuisine into their life style.
In this show, overweight contestants do a dance and are rated by judges, and then leap on a big set of scales. This dance-weight-loss program attracted more than 797,000 viewers across the globe. I can closely relate this show to regular people’s efforts to get into shape. Many contestants had been fat all their lives and through this show, were trying to build self-respect or set a great example for their children.
“Dance Your Ass Off 2” is hosted by Spice Girl Mel B and features 12 talented contestants who fight with their weight and dance to relinquish their inner “thin.” They will fight with each other on the dance floor—as well as on the scale—for a shot at a $100,000 deluxe prize in “Dance Your Ass Off” Season 2. The contestants leave their family and friends for 10 weeks to change their lives forever.
This show gives me hope and has always been my inspiration. Two years back, I was overweight and way thwarted by workout fads and stringent diet routine. This show inspired me to lose those extra pounds through dancing. Today, I am in perfect shape, thanks to “Dance Your Ass Off”. I have controlled my weight, improved my circulatory system, increased my stamina, enhanced my self-confidence…….I love “Dance Your Ass Off”.

We love dance! We breathe dance! We feel dance! We live dance – but why? Dance is a refreshing, amusing and enchanting experience. Apart from fun and refreshment, it also embraces multiple health benefits, isn’t it the much required icing on the cake?
