It’s not boot camp! Thank Goddess because if it’s patriarchal and militaristic, someone’s barking orders too early in the morning, the exercises are most likely dangerous, mindless and you probably won’t have fun.

Sculpt and stretch

Body Beautiful is the smart and sensitive woman’s answer to getting strong. We lift, we laugh, we pay attention to form with moves based on dance, Pilates, yoga, martial arts and we work harder than we would alone because we’re all in it together! Don’t think you have to get in shape BEFORE you come. Thirty years in this business have shown me, you won’t do it! Just come and get in shape! You can work at your appropriate pace and it’s at 8:30 am – very civilized.

Get stronger, feel and look great

You probably already know that when you’re stronger everything works better: circulation, concentration, digestion, metabolism, posture, skin vibrancy, self-esteem, mental outlook. You heal faster, age slower, organs function better, hormones stay better balanced, it helps you dance better and longer and it doesn’t hurt your sex life either. What are you waiting for?

So how do we do it? We use hand weights, ankle weights, body weight, cylinders, bands, sticks (aka chicks with sticks) and weighted balls (aka women with balls). And we never do the same workout twice. You’ll learn general rules on form but we keep our muscles confused (it goes well with the confusion that descends upon us in menopause). We go so slowly sometimes your arms quiver for mercy and steam rises off your legs. Other times we break out into spontaneous dancing. You too can be one of the buffed babes of Body Beautiful.
